I am a full professor of physics at the University of Nova Gorica,
where I specialize in experimental astrophysics, atmospheric physics,
and high-energy particle physics. I earned my PhD in physics from
the University of Ljubljana in 1999 and have held research positions
in Slovenia and Japan, including at the University of Tsukuba and KEK.
At the University of Nova Gorica, I lead the Center for Astrophysics
and Cosmology and previously served as dean of the School of Science.
My research focuses on cosmic particles and atmospheric remote sensing,
and I am also actively involved in national supercomputing initiatives
and major international collaborations.
