The calorimeter is expected to generate fast trigger signals in order
to provide a fully efficient trigger for both neutral and charged
particles. Two kinds of trigger schemes are taken into account, namely
a total energy trigger and a cluster counting trigger. These triggers
are complementary each other since the former is sensitive to events
with high electromagnetic energy deposits while the latter to
multi-hadronic events that contain low energy clusters and minimum
ionizing particles. Fig. shows the schematic
diagram of the calorimeter signal flow and the electronics arrangement
to perform the two trigger schemes.
